Sarah McDade - Ceramics

 

Our Lady of Lourdes Primary -Huddersfield

 

 

 

Today I visited West Yorkshire based artist Sarah Mcdade at Our Lady of Lourdes Primary School in Huddersfield. Year 5 & 6 pupils have been very busy developing a process of drawings and clay imagery representing themselves and their heritage. I was impressed to see the level of portraiture and the pupils have clearly really enjoyed the experience.

 

"I didn't think I could do this, but I can actually! I am quite good at it really!"

 

"Normally I don't think I am very good at art, but this has been different!"

 

"I have really enjoyed it, I keep telling my Mum I want to be an artist, she thinks it's a good idea!"
